This weekend, Opening Act Performing Arts is presenting “Into the Woods, Jr.” Performances are at Danville High School’s Gravely Hall on April 12 at 7:00 pm, April 13 at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm, and April 14 at 3:00 pm.

Opening Act is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower, encourage and educate today’s youth through the performing arts. Throughout the rehearsal process, students have developed and gained critical skills such as confidence, public speaking, problem solving, and teamwork.

In addition to honing their craft as performers, community service is a big part of the program. The students in this production are 6 years old to 14 years old, and are students at schools throughout Danville, Mercer, Garrard, and Lincoln counties.
