Boyle’s Stewart brothers fifth in state bass fishing tourney

Keenan Stewart and Coleman Stewart of Boyle County finished fifth Saturday in the boys division of the KHSAA Bass Fishing Championships on Kentucky Lake.

The Stewart brothers’ 10 fish caught Friday and Saturday totaled 29 pounds, 4 ounces.

Brayson Claunch and Cameron Owens of Boyle finished 17th and Jack Henry Carnes and John Scott Carnes of Danville Christian were 24th of 87 boats in the boys division.

Allie Addison and Adailyn Courtney of Boyle finished sixth and Ashlen Young and Lydia Turner of Boyle were seventh of 11 boats in the girls division.

Area anglers (11 teams) – 6. Allie Addison-Adailyn Courtney (Boyle County) 8 pounds, 6 ounces; 7. Ashlen Young-Lydia Turner (Boyle County) 4-12.
