Pet of the Week

The Pet of the Week is a rockstar named Frank. No, he doesn’t shred a guitar or front a band; we’ll explain later.

The first thing you’ll notice about Frank is how handsome he is. His soft jet-black coat and stunning hazel eyes will captivate you! But Frank is so much more than his good looks.

Black Labrador Retrievers like Frank are jovial dogs that enjoy the company of humans and other dogs. They’re outgoing, fun, and known for easily making new friends. These guys are active, and love fetching and swimming. Frank is a pawsome example of the breed!

Now, for the Rockstar part. Frank is one of those dogs that are perfect for playgroups: he can amp up the energy and loves to race around the yard, but he’s submissive and slows down if his doggie friends tell him they don’t like all that commotion! Rockstars make great helper dogs who capably welcome newbies into the yard. Although Frank is excited to meet new friends, he knows how to greet first-timers without overwhelming them. Frankly, he’s simply the best.

Frank is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today. Meet this sweet boy at DBCHS between 1-4 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and 1-7 pm Thursday. The DBCHS is closed Saturday, May 25 through Monday, May 27 for the Memorial Day holiday. Apply now: dbchs.org/adopt. We hope to see you soon!
