The Family Services Association (FSA) of Boyle County has introduced a local friendly face to its team. The newly established position, Case and Communications Coordinator will be filled by Remonica Garr-Conner. She was hired on May 20 after being a member of the FSA board for the current fiscal year where she served for a short period as secretary.

In years prior, she was a Lead Volunteer/Community Engagement Coordinator for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the Bluegrass for three years.

Garr-Conner holds a B.A. in Public Relations from Eastern Kentucky University (Richmond, KY) and a M.A. in Theological and Cultural Anthropology from Eastern University (St. David, PA).

In her free time, Remonica enjoys contributing as a member of the Kiwanis Club of Danville and working as both an Art Administrator and Contractor for children’s presentations and small groups at the Art Center of the Bluegrass. Outside of professional work, she is entertained by her rambunctious and curious 1-year old son Jireh and husband Christopher.

“I am beyond blessed to continue to serve the Danville community that is so near and dear to my heart,” Garr-Conner said. “Much recognition and praise go to CASA and the women working there. It is that organization that set the foundation for my dedication to human services and making the lives of people better. There have been many seasons in my life that have given me opportunities to evolve, empathize, and support others. For that I am grateful. We are all just a twist of fate away from being in need.”

The FSA encourages Danville residents seeking assistance with, but not limited to rent, utilities, medication, medical equipment, etc., to contact the office.
