Barbara Poindexter Wilson Sanders, wife of Irwin Taylor Sanders, II, departed this life on May 28, 2024, in Danville, Kentucky. She was 79 years old. A 1966 graduate of Centre College, Mrs. Sanders taught French and English at the Scottsville School in Albermarle Co., VA, and English at Lylburn Downing Middle School in Lexington, VA. There, she was a member of the Blue Ridge Garden Club and attended Lexington Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband; a sister, Janet Wilson of Wilmington, NC; sons Wallace Bruce Sanders (Catherine) of Bentonville, AR, and Stuart Wilson Sanders (Jenny) of Danville, KY; and five grandchildren.
