During the Danville City Commission meeting on May 28, it was announced that Danville CVB employee Stephen Cline was named a winner of the Lexington Hospitality Awards Service Excellence Award. The award is given to staff in the tourism industry who go above and beyond to provide a welcoming visit to residents and visitors alike.

“It is an honor,” Cline said. “It is easy to promote Danville and talk about our history. I don’t think people realize how many tourists we get in Danville. Last year we had 49 states and 39 countries represented. This is the easiest and best job I have ever had. I can talk about anything from our state’s early history to the glass museum.”
