Our featured pets for this week are Tara and Robbie.

Tara is a pretty 1-year-old tabby kitty that was surrendered to the humane society by her owner because they just had too many cats. Tara is a lovely, sweet girl. And although she is a young adult, she is very playful and still has a lot of kitten in her. Tara has big gorgeous amber eyes and you can see her intelligence in her face. If you are Tara’s lucky adopter you will have a certain friend for life!

Robbie is a darling 12-week-old mixed breed puppy. His hair is a medium length and mostly brown with black points and some white markings. Robbie is a cute and cuddly fluff ball of a puppy. He most likely will be medium to large size when full grown. Robbie is ready for his new home and he is the perfect age to start his training. Robbie has his whole future ahead of him and he is sure to bring a lot of love with him to his new family!

February is Spay/Neuter Awareness Month.  Altered animals live longer and healthier lives and make better pets. Spayed and neutered animals will not be contributing to the problem of pet overpopulation that we witness every day at the humane society. You can help by always spaying and neutering your pets and educate your children, friends, family members and co-workers about pet overpopulation, adoption and the importance of spaying and neutering.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
