The Danville-Boyle County Economic Development Partnership hosted its first “Access EDP” event Wednesday morning, bringing together a large contingent from the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and leaders from seven different counties.

Kentucky Secretary of the Cabinet for Economic Development Terry R. Gill Jr. speaks to those gathered about Kentucky’s four biggest economic development “clusters” — automotive, aerospace, logistics and metals.

The featured speaker was Terry R. Gill Jr., secretary of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development. Gill brought along a dozen KCED employees who work in various capacities to assist with economic development in the state.

Jody Lassiter and Hal Goode with the EDP also unveiled a new branding plan for Kentucky Crossroads, the regional economic development group made up of 11 south-central Bluegrass counties: Anderson, Boyle, Casey, Garrard, Lincoln, Marion, Mercer, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Taylor and Washington.

Ennis Tillman, left, and Boyle County Judge-Executive Harold McKinney talk over breakfast at the Access EDP event.
