Thank you for the editorial in the Oct. 2 edition. I write to correct a glaring error of fact. Boyle County is in the SECOND Congressional District, NOT the 5th. The incumbent is Brett Guthrie and the Democratic Candidate is Hank Linderman, as stated.

Rep. Guthrie and Mr. Linderman were invited to a forum to be held on Oct. 9 at the InterCounty RECC, 1009 Hustonville Road, at 7 p.m. Rep. Guthrie’s staff declined the invitation. Mr. Linderman will attend and answer voters’ questions. I urge the public to attend.

Informed voters make for a healthy democracy. It is sad indeed when incumbents refuse to engage with their challengers to discuss issues and share their records.

Please vote for Hank Linderman, Democrat, for U.S. House of Representatives, 2nd District, on November 6.
