Ronald Douglas Daugherty, 44, passed at UK hospital on October 3, 2018 at 10 p.m. Doug was a registered organ donor and was able to save at least three lives after his passing.

Doug was born and raised in Danville and was the proud son of Ronnie and the late Norma Daugherty, the grandson of the late Alma and Jerry Daugherty, as well as the grandson of the late Dorthy Beck. Doug was also the proud father of Brandon Daugherty. Doug worked as a Master Barber and successfully opened two barber shops and loved his clients and career.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley Daugherty (Griffey), his father Ronnie Daugherty, his brother Jerry Daugherty, his son Brandon Daugherty and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He grew up at the Daugherty compound with his uncle Kenny, his aunt Glenda Daugherty, and cousins Kim and Ken Daugherty. Doug graduated high school at Danville High in 1989. Then completed Barber school at Bailey’s Barber College in Lexington, KY. Doug loved the outdoors and just enjoying the world and life, being in the shop cutting hair and being your barbers favorite barber, but most of all spending time with family and friends. He lived life to the fullest and lived every day like it was his last.

Memorial services will be 2-4 p.m. October 14, 2018 at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. 5590 Hwy 2141, Hustonville, KY.

Honorary pallbearers are Ken Daugherty, Brandon Daugherty, Chris Horn, William Gerard, Heather Cross Drury, Danny Duncan and Kurt Dawson. Doug touched the lives of many people and will dearly be missed by many people.
