I was incredulous when I heard Trump say “It’s a very scary time for young men in America.”  For every thousand sexual assaults, only one in three is even reported, and of those 300-plus, only seven result in a conviction. It does not appear that young men are in any real danger of being incarcerated provided they act appropriately towards women.

A more positive approach to this situation would be to point out that men have grandmothers, mothers, wives, girlfriends, sisters and daughters. Since one in three women will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime, men should be more concerned about women being sexually attacked rather than worry about themselves.
