Safe Communities Meeting — 8:30 a.m. Tuesday  Nov. 13, at the Boyle County Health Department. Preston Miles will be talking with us regarding the trails projects, clean water and the pipeline.

Danville-Boyle County Airport Board — 6 p.m. Thursday Nov.15, at the airport to discuss general business.

Business after hours

The Boyle County Chamber of Commerce business after hours monthly event will be 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at Impressions Salon and Spa, located at 100 A Baughman Avenue.

Trash service offering bulky waste pickups

Attention cities of Danville and Perryville, Republic Services is picking up couches, chairs, benches, tables and any other bulky items that will not fit in your solid waste container on your regularly scheduled pick-up day. Danville’s pickup days are Monday, Nov. 12 through Friday, Nov. 16; and Perryville is Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Save time and gas by placing these items at your curb by 6 a.m. on your day of waste collection. Republic Services will only make one trip around town for this service provided in the cities solid waste contract. All brush must be tied into three to four foot sections and all loose trash must be placed into bags.

Items NOT accepted include tires, paint, batteries, chemicals of any kind, and any other hazardous waste. For more information, call (859) 936-0957.

Gose Pike: Monday – Saturday 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Closed Sunday and Holidays)

Alum Springs: Tuesday – Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Closed Sunday, Monday and Holidays)

Perryville: Monday, Thursday – Saturday 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Closed Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Holidays)

Mitchellsburg: Tuesday – Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Closed Sunday, Monday and Holidays)

Forkland: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Closed Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and Holidays)

• Boyle County residents only, proof of residency required, household waste and recycling only.

• NO: Out of County Residents, For-Profit Business (including contractors) except for recycling, construction and demolition debris, fence wire, tires, liquids, animal carcasses, and tanks of any-kind.
