Jimmy Wayne Hinds

1953-2018

Jimmy Wayne Hinds, 65, of Stanford, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at U.K. Hospital in Lexington. Born on March 3, 1953 to the late George Addison Hinds and Dellar Hodge Hinds Dowell Baugh. Jimmy worked as a concrete truck driver for Concrete Materials in Danville for 48 years.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Lucille Hinds; two sons, Wayne Hinds (Jennifer) and Mike Poirier (Garnetta); seven daughters, Angela Bryant (Stephen), Jennifer Broce (Russell), Susie Johnson (Frank), Cathy Schmiers, Lisa Gayhart (Steve), Teresa Zarate and Sherri Poirier; two brothers, Gene Hinds (Annie) and Michael Dowell (Janet); nine sisters, Pearl Dowell, Janet Kidd, Linda Hall (Charles), Rita Gossett, Rhonda Tarr (Corey), Brenda Walls (Rodney), Glenda Dowell (Ronnie), Debbie Symonds (Gary) and Kathy Rogers; 16 grandchildren, Austin, McKenzie, Cody, Ciara, Chris, Amber, Samantha, Ronnie, Melissa, Jason, Shawn, Jordan, Tracy, James, Trenton, Dylan; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Poirier; and one granddaughter, Christy Robinson Solis.

Visitation will be Friday, November 16, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford. Funeral will be Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Rev. Kurt Davis and Rev. Jamie Conn officiating. Burial will follow at Crab Orchard Cemetery in Crab Orchard.

Pallbearers will be Austin Hinds, Brandon Graham, Ronnie Dailey, Cody Baker, Shawn Poirier and Ethan Dowell. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Johnson, Mike Poirier, Russell Marcum, Jordan Poirier, and Mike Dowell.
