Judith Marlene Lester

1940-2018

Judith Marlene Lester, 78, of McKinney, Ky., passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at home. Born October 28, 1940, in McKinney, Ky., to the late Robert L. Sears and Sadie Marie Grubbs Sears, she was the widow of Harold B. Lester. She was a retired employee of IBM and LabCorp, and attended McCormack Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Harold B. “Sonny” Lester of Lancaster, Ky., and Robert Jason Lester (Cristy) of McKinney, Ky.; two sisters, Jeanetta Louise Kersey (Ray) of McKinney, Ky., and Janet Faye Long (T.J.) of Stanford, Ky.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepson, Gary Lester.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend Doug Simpson officiating.

Casket bearers will be Jason Lester, Sonny Lester, Micah Lester, Cody Lester, Tony Kersey, and Preston Ledford. Honorary bearers are Kay Baxter, Carolyn Yocum, and Hallie Lear.
