DBCHS Pets of the week, June 19

Published 6:44 pm Tuesday, June 18, 2019

Our featured pets this week are Sonny and Mimi.

Sonny is a precious 9-week-old buff and white kitten. His mother was a friendly stray and the whole little family of mama and five babies was brought to the humane society several weeks ago. Sonny is a darling little fellow. He is just now old enough to get his surgery so he can go to his new home. Sonny loves to play, take a little cat nap and then start over again with more play time. Sonny is ready to provide a lifetime of love and companionship if you choose to make him part of your family.

            Mimi

            Sonny

Mimi is a darling 7-month-old lab mix that was brought to the humane society as a stray. She had an injured tail that required surgery. Even with her injury and during the healing process, Mimi has been a wonderful patient and kept her loving and sweet temperament. Her beautiful brown eyes are very expressive. Mimi adores attention and should be a quick learner. If you are looking for a loyal companion come and meet Mimi. You will want to take her home with you.

Don’t forget, June is National Adopt-A-Shelter Cat month and the DBCHS has reduced the adoption fee for cats and kittens to $25. This includes all the usual vetting including the spay/neuter surgery, feline leukemia test, vaccinations and deworming. We have many gorgeous cats and kittens to choose from so if you’ve been thinking of adopting a kitty, now is the time to do it. Take advantage of our special pricing this month and find your purrfect feline companion at the humane society. You might even double the fun by considering taking two cuddly kitties home.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
