Transportation Cabinet giving Danville bypass ‘microsurfacing treatment’

LEXINGTON — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) announces preventive maintenance projects are planned for Boyle, Clark and Fayette counties. The microsurfacing treatment slows deterioration of pavement, reduces upkeep and the costs of construction.  In addition, it provides motorists with increased safety.

The work in Boyle County will begin at U.S. 127B and extend east to the Norfolk Southern Railroad Bridge. American Pavements Inc. was awarded the work for all three counties. The Boyle County bid is in the amount of $145,821.28.

The traveling public will be informed of changes to traffic patterns through advisories furnished to media outlets.
