Raymond Lee Johnson

1933-2020

Raymond Lee Johnson, 86, Stanford, KY, passed away Friday, March 13th, 2020 at University of Kentucky Hospital. Raymond was born in Stanford, KY on June 11, 1933, a son of the late Allie Mae (Siler) and Luther Morris Johnson. He was a member of the Church of God and he was faithful as he attended multiple churches to worship. 

He retired from Corning Glass Company. Raymond loved playing his guitar and singing. He enjoyed the outdoors and riding around and visiting various Dollar General Stores. He loved and adored his family and each of his nieces and nephews. His favorite drink was an ice cold Coke Cola.

Survivors Include, Son: Jerry Lee Johnson and friend, Diana Moses of Bradenton, Florida; two Sisters: Fannie Crawford of Stanford and Hazel Wilder of Danville; One Granddaughter, Felicia Wilcher and Husband, Randy; Two Great Granddaughters, Sydney Denny and Husband, Hank and Tara Worley and Husband, Dallas; One Great Great Granddaughter, Ivory Denny.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Morris Johnson, Four Sisters,

Margaret Hunt, Frances Montgomery, Irene McDermott, Gladys York. Four Nephews, Denny and David York, Harold and Calvin Montgomery and a great niece, Jessica Marie Manuel.

Date and Time of Services: 1 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Place of Service: McKnight Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating Ministers: Bro. Kerry Jones and Bro. Matthew York.

Place of Burial: Johnson Family Cemetery on Siler Road, Stanford, KY.

Visitation will be after 5PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at McKnight Funeral Home.

Pallbearers Include: Matthew York, Rocky and Brandon Johnson, Jacob Manuel, Richard Adams, Tristen and Landon Neikirk. Honorary Pallbearers: Wayne Hinds, Jessie Lee Adams, Tommy and Peewee Crawford
