Lance Gaither has joined the Advocate-Messenger as reporter.

A native of Lincoln County, he studied Broadcasting and Electronic Media at Eastern Kentucky University. During college, he interned at the Hometown Radio Network here in Danville as well as with EKU’s Brand Management team. 

He soon moved onto a position as a multi-media journalist working at WBON-TV in Richmond. After he graduated, he left the news business for a few years before starting back with the Advocate-Messenger, where he will cover news in Boyle and Lincoln counties.

“I’m eager to get back into the business and look forward to getting to know Danville’s community,” he said.

In his free time, Lance spends time with his wife, biking and the occasional round of golf, as well as anything automotive. 

“I’m a huge car nerd,” he said, “and hope to one day be a bona-fide automotive journalist.”
