Boyle County elementary students won’t return in person next week

Boyle County Schools news release

In conjunction with the Boyle County Health Department, Boyle County Schools reviewed the Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 incidence matrix Thursday, Dec. 3, and Boyle County is still well within the “red” level. Unfortunately, the district will not be able to open the elementary schools to in-person learners next week.

Furthermore, the district has decided to remain fully virtual through at least Wednesday, Jan. 6. The district will review the matrix on Thursday, Dec. 31 to determine if the virus numbers are low enough for us to return on Jan. 6.

Food service information is forthcoming.

The district hopes to welcome back in-person students on Jan. 6.
