RICHMOND — First-year head coach Samantha Williams released the Eastern Kentucky University women’s basketball 2019-20 schedule on Thursday.

 The Colonels open up the year against in-state rival Northern Kentucky University on Nov. 6. This is the first meeting between the two teams since 1983.

 The non-conference schedule is highlighted with road trips to Memphis (Nov. 9), Butler (Nov. 17), Xavier (Dec. 8) and Vanderbilt (Dec. 15). Key home non-conference games consist of Miami (OH) (Nov. 20), Chattanooga (Dec. 1) and Youngstown State (Dec. 3).

 EKU opens up conference play with four straight home games starting with Tennessee Tech on Jan. 2, Jacksonville State (Jan. 4), Eastern Illinois (Jan. 9) and SIU Edwardsville (Jan. 11).

 The Colonels welcome four-time defending Ohio Valley Conference champion Belmont University to Richmond on Feb. 22, before wrapping up the regular season against in-state rival Morehead State Feb. 29 at home.
