Solar I01 is happening Thursday, May 9, 7:00-8:00 pm at the Boyle County Extension Office. Scott Maas, the KY USDA REAP administrator will be present to provide information on grant opportunities for solar systems for agricultural and small business properties. REAP grants cover up to 50% of the costs of solar installations, in addition to federal tax credits allowing a further 30% reduction in what you would otherwise pay in federal income tax. We will also have short presentations from rooftop solar installer Solar Holler, who is partnering with Danville and Boyle County on Solarize Boyle, a bulk-purchasing campaign that provides further discounts (up to 15%) from installers pre-screened and vetted by industry experts. Solarize Boyle is open to residents of Boyle Garrard, Lincoln, Casey, Marion, Washington, and Mercer counties.  Cattleman’s Association will offer hamburger supper from 6:00-7:00.

Solar I01 is happening Friday May 10, 9:00-10:00 am at the Ewan Room (2nd Floor of Dining Hall) at Centre College. Solarize Boyle will be presenting information about solar energy and how you can save significant investment costs through the program. We will also have a short presentation from our rooftop solar installer, Solar Energy Solutions, who is partnering with Danville and Boyle County on Solarize Boyle. Coffee and donuts will be available – come and meet and get all your questions answered!
