Bluegrass roads were a little busier Friday and Saturday as thousands of runners participated in the 2016 Bourbon Chase.
The annual 200-mile running event features teams of runners from around the nation and some from other countries. The journey tours every distillery on Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail and passes Danville twice, as well as through Perryville, Stanford, Junction City and Harrodsburg.
This year, the team “Knoxville Track Club Ultra” had the fastest time, finishing in about 20 hours and 47 minutes.
