Jamie, Chris and Samuel Hubbard dressed as vikings for Tuesday's trick-or-treat on Main Street. Chris said he was discussing family history with Samuel, his son, and the fact that one of his great-great-grandparents had traced the family's lineage back to the year 9, in the area of Scandanavia. "That kind of intrigued him, so we decided to be vikings and come pillage some candy," Chris said.
The weather was fabulous, as were the costumes, Tuesday evening on Main Street in Danville. Hundreds of costumed kids and parents filled the sidewalks and a few blocks of the road in search of candy. The trick-or-treat event was moved a day earlier than Halloween due to the bad weather forecasted for tonight.

Danville residents Lisa Tyus, left, and her son, Curtis Roller, dressed as the cartoon characters Rick and Morty. Tyus said she doesn’t know much about the cartoon, but Roller talked her into it because all she had to do was wear a yellow shirt and a big fake head.
