Danville’s Frazzell Guitars is a nominee in the 10th Annual Lexington Music Awards for the category of best gear repair.

“It is incredibly awesome,” said luthier and owner of Frazzell Guitars Brandon Edwards. “I had asked my clientele to vote for me but I thought I wasn’t going to get it and I’m okay with that. I’m not in it for the awards, I’m in it for the guitars and the people. I have a lot of amazing customers who show me support. It is amazing to build some awesome relationships in the community.”

The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 3. Edwards is eager to showcase Danville on a statewide scale.

“Even if I don’t win I’m excited to go for the experience and represent Danville,” Edwards said. “I’m going to come home with a smile on my face knowing that I made enough impact just to get nominated is enough for me. Great things are coming out of here. It is incredible to see how Danville is growing.”

Frazzell Guitars will be celebrating three years in business in May. Edwards is proud to be a part of Danville and Boyle County. He has expanded his store to include a recording studio and has had customers travel hours to visit his store.

“It is awesome to see the growth and meet people from Tennessee to Ohio,” Edwards said. “When people travel three and half hours to see your store that means a lot. They could have gone anywhere else but people make a day to visit you when they have never met you, that means a lot. When I got to hear a song recorded out of here on the radio that brightened my whole week.”

Frazzell Guitars is located at 816 Stanford Road next to the Pioneer Playhouse. In addition to selling new and used instruments, they offer instrument repair, customer guitar building, and lessons. For more information visit
