Sheriff Department makes several drug seizures

Search warrant leads to drug and gun seizures
On Dec. 6, 2023, the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office conducted a drug investigation on a residence on 1st Street in Danville. During the investigation, deputies obtained enough evidence for a search warrant.
During the execution of the search warrant, deputies seized approximately one ounce of methamphetamine, one pound of marijuana, cash, four firearms, and drug paraphernalia items.
On February 28, this case was held to the Grand Jury. The suspect, William Frank Boswell, was indicted on the following charges:
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine greater than 2 grams
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance with 1,000 feet of a school
- Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
Boswell was arrested at his residence and lodged into the Boyle County Detention Center.
Traffic stop leads to seizure of cocaine
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hustonville Road in Junction City on Feb. 28. The operator, identified as Roman Bistrai, was operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license. Throughout the investigation, deputies were able to locate 20 individual baggies of a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine.
Roman Bistrai was arrested and lodged into the Boyle County Detention Center. Bistrai was charged with the following:
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – Cocaine.
- Operating on a Suspended/Revoked Operators License.
