The Danville Police Department has put out a Wanted notice for Hagen R. Black, 30 years of age, white male, 6’1, 155 lbs.
Offenses include felony fleeing/evading police (motor vehicle), wanton endangerment 1st degree (police officer).
On Tuesday just before 6 p.m., Danville Police responded to a report of an intoxicated subject who had been denied a room at a local hotel.
Before arrival, officers were advised the subject was leaving the area in a silver passenger car. Officers located the vehicle in question (silver Toyota Scion) in the area of Cattleman’s Roadhouse.
An officer directly behind the suspect’s vehicle attempted to perform a traffic stop. The driver continued toward the restaurant’s exit where an additional officer had positioned his police unit. The secondary officer had exited his vehicle and was ordering the suspect to stop.
The suspect continued toward the exit driving in the direction of the officer. The fleeing Scion then turned right onto the Danville Bypass traveling east toward Stanford. Surrounding agencies were notified and Danville Police initially pursued the suspect. The suspect was traveling at speeds exceeding 100mph, weaving in and out of traffic, and creating a substantial risk to public safety.
Due to safety concerns, Danville officers terminated the chase. The Toyota Scion was located abandoned in the parking lot of Domino’s in Stanford. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Stanford Police assisted during the incident and conducted an extensive search of the area.
During the investigation the suspect was identified as Hagen R. Black of Junction City. Currently Black is not in custody but is wanted on several charges. If you have any information on his whereabouts contact the Danville 911 Center at 859-238-1220, tips can also be sent via text at 859-516-5566.
