Man arrested following Tuesday home invasion

Danville Police have arrested a man following a home invasion Tuesday afternoon.

Just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a call of a white male who had kicked in the door to a woman’s apartment. The man was reportedly armed with a large knife.

The woman told officers she did not know the man, but said he lived upstairs from her apartment. Officers made entry into an upstairs apartment and located Mikhail Chetverukhin, 46, and took him into custody. A large kitchen knife was found near Chetverukhin that was identified by the victim as the knife Chetverukhin was allegedly holding when he entered her apartment.

Chetverukhin is lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center and charged with burglary 1st degree and resisting arrest.
